Futian Cultural Hall is presenting Chaozhou embroidery, wheat straw paintings and horsetail embroidery at a free exhibition, providing locals with an opportunity to witness the spectacle of those national arts of China.
一带一路主题系列·非遗文化艺术展正在福田文化馆·非遗主题馆展出。一件件集历史传承与现代感于一体的非遗作品,近距离带给人们不一样的艺术体验。本次展览共展出非遗文化艺术作品潮绣、麦秆画、水族马尾绣达70多件。
Chaozhou embroidery 潮绣
Chaozhou embroidery is typically colorful, decorative and of sharp contrast, made with multiple embroidery techniques. Long-standing and well-established, it is sewn so neatly and the patterns are arranged in such a genius way that the embroidery is of high aesthetic value. Wedding gowns made in Chaozhou are highly sought after around the world.
潮绣属于广东刺绣,有着有强烈的地方色彩,构图饱满均衡,针法繁多,纹理清晰,色彩浓艳,装饰性强,尤以富有浮雕效果的垫高绣法独异于其它绣法。
Chaozhou embroidery derives from the Yue embroidery in Guangdong, one of the four renowned embroidery styles in China, along with Xiang embroidery from Hunan, Shu embroidery from Sichuan and Su embroidery from Jiangsu.
Horsetail embroidery 水族马尾绣
Horsetail embroidery is a unique traditional craft in Sandu Shui Autonomous County in Guizhou Province. Horses play an important part in Shui ethnic culture, with horse racing and horsetail embroidery featuring heavily in festivals and celebrations.
马尾绣,是贵州省三都水族自治县妇女们世代传承的以马尾作为重要原材料的一种特殊刺绣技艺。
As the name suggests, the embroidery is made from horsetail hair among other materials, such as colorful silk thread for patterns and images of fish, flowers and dragons. The art was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
Wheat straw painting 麦秆画
Wheat straw paintings are common in areas producing wheat. As a treasure of China’s folk arts, it originated during the Sui Dynasty, prospered in the Tang and Song dynasties and gained popularity in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The exquisite, brightly colored and vivid wheat straw paintings bring a sense of back-to-nature artistic enjoyment to viewers. The art form has earned a good reputation in the art community and is highly popular both in China and abroad for its unique artistic style and exquisite crafting process.
麦秆画是中国独有的特色工艺品之一。麦秆画始于隋唐时代。它和剪纸、布贴一样是一种剪贴艺术。麦秆画具有光泽透亮、装钸效果好、艺术感染力强等优点,制作出的人物、花鸟、动物栩栩如生,活灵活现,给人以古朴自然,高贵典雅之美。
