Japanese film director, video artist and writer Shunji Iwai will bring his band Hec & Pascal to Shenzhen for a concert May 10.

Iwai has a big fan base in China, and his movies “Love Letter” (1995), “All About Lily Chou-Chou” (2001) and “Suwaroteiru” (1996) have large followings. Iwai, who started his career directing music videos, not only directs and writes scripts but also writes scores for his movies. He set up Hec & Pascal in 2013 with band members Fukazawa Kotone (vocal), Kuwabara Mako (piano), Arai Momoko (violin), Hayashida Jumpei (cello) and Miyauchi Yosuke (guitar).
The band will play music from Iwai’s movies at the Shenzhen concert.
