Exciting moments of 2025 dance championships

The 2025 Gang Long Dance Championships (GLDC) Grand Final, alongside the 13th Shenzhen Ballroom (Sport Dance) Championship, is being held from Dec. 15 to 21 at the Luohu Gymnasium. The event has brought together over 10,000 elite dancers from nearly 30 provinces and regions across China to compete for annual championship titles in various categories.

Modern and Latin dancers dazzled in vibrant professional costumes during the opening ceremony of the 2025 GLDC Grand Final on Wednesday evening. The highlights of the event were captivating performances by world-renowned U.K. Latin dance duos Andrei Kozlovsky and Nino Dzneladze and professional Latin dancers Massimo Arcolin and Laura Arcolinova.

The competition caters to participants ranging in age from 3 to 72, encompassing both professional and amateur dancers. Competitors include both modern and Latin dance for professionals and amateurs, competed for prestigious championship titles.

Zhang Zhengyang and Yu Yi, from Guangdong, emerged victoriously in the international professional category of modern dance. In the international professional category of Latin dance, Luo Quanjun and Deng Yanyan also from Guangdong claimed the top spot. Tang Yujie and Zhao Aini from Chongqing secured the championship in the amateur category of modern dance while Long Yongkun and Cheng Jiani from Chengdu claimed the championship in the amateur category of Latin dance.

The organizing committee invited more than 163 judges from 13 countries, including international experts from the U.K., Australia, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Italy and South Korea. 



Dancers enthrall the audiences with a series of dances. 


Tang Yujie and Zhao Aini from Chongqing secure the championship in the amateur category of modern dance.

Long Yongkun and Cheng Jiani secure the championship in the amateur category of Latin dance.
