New direct air link connects Shenzhen and Melbourne

Shenzhen Airlines officially launched a direct flight service between Shenzhen and Melbourne, Australia, on Monday. This marks the airline’s first route to Australia and Shenzhen’s third direct air link to Oceania, following existing services to Sydney and Auckland. The route will be operated with Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft, with three weekly flights scheduled. The outbound flight, ZH811, departs Shenzhen at 11:55 p.m. Beijing Time and arrives in Melbourne at 1 p.m. local time the following day. The return flight, ZH812, leaves Melbourne at 10:20 p.m. local time and arrives in Shenzhen at 5 a.m. Beijing Time the next morning. The average one-way flight time is under 10 hours.
