After a brief warm-up yesterday, cold air has returned to Guangdong Province. Shenzhen is forecast to be sunny but chilly from today through Thursday, with temperatures ranging between 8 and 18 degrees Celcius. A rebound in temperatures is expected beginning Friday.

A large day‑to‑night temperature swing will persist. Residents are advised to dress warmly and take precautions against carbon monoxide poisoning.

A red forest‑fire danger alert remains in effect. The public should stay vigilant about preventing forest fires and observe household fire and electrical safety.
