The Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link will have the highest service density and stop frequency of any line in China from Jan. 26, when a new national train timetable takes effect, the railway operator said. A total of 415 trains will run on the route daily. During peak hours, trains will operate at a frequency of 30 per hour — roughly one every two minutes. In addition, two new cross-border services between Hong Kong and Shanghai will be launched, marking the first time high‑speed rail from Hong Kong provides direct service to Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. With these additions, rail access to Hong Kong will be expanded to 110 stations across the Chinese mainland.
