Shenzhen implements ban on RV parking in public parks

Due to limited space and inadequate facilities, Shenzhen’s park management authority recently announced a citywide ban on recreational vehicle (RV) parking.

According to the "i Shenzhen" mini-program, the restriction covers all RV models, trucks, engineering vehicles, and nine-seat vehicles.

RV parking had sparked significant online controversy over parking shortages and illegal stopping. Members of the public requested more RV-friendly spaces at Shenzhen Bay Park through the "问政" citizen interaction platform in December, 2025.

Following an investigation, the Shenzhen Park Service decided to enforce the prohibition to better use the current parking resources.
