Longhua District has announced a significant expansion of its digital government services, launching four additional foreign-language channels on the "iShenzhen" mobile application to assist international residents and investors ahead of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The new updates introduce comprehensive service interfaces in French, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic. These add to the existing English-language portal, bringing the platform’s total multilingual support to five major international languages.

With Shenzhen set to serve as a primary window for China’s "APEC Year" in 2026, district officials characterized the move as a critical step in upgrading the district's international business environment. The initiative aims to provide "barrier-free" public services for an expected influx of global delegates, entrepreneurs, and tourists.

Five-pillar service model

Each language channel is structured around five core modules designed to facilitate "localized user experiences" for foreign nationals:

Overview of Longhua: Real-time data on demographics, land area, and industrial clusters to help newcomers quickly orient themselves.

Longhua Impression: A digital guide to cultural landmarks, architectural heritage, and urban attractions.

Invest in Longhua: A dedicated portal for industrial policies and investment news, targeting foreign enterprises and venture capitalists looking to tap into Shenzhen’s manufacturing and high-tech sectors.

Service Information: Practical, step-by-step instructions for high-frequency services, including visas, housing, public transportation, healthcare, and schooling.

Explore Longhua: A lifestyle-oriented section featuring commercial districts, cultural facilities, and leisure resources to support everyday living and local integration.

Access guide: How to use the multilingual services

To access the new language portals, users should follow these steps on the iShenzhen mobile platform:

Download the app: Search for "iShenzhen" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Locate the district portal: On the app’s homepage, click the site selection menu in the upper-left corner and select “Longhua District” (龙华区).

Select language: Once inside the Longhua section, tap the “Language” button located at the top left of the interface.

Switch channels: Select your preferred language — English, French, Japanese, Korean, or Arabic — to instantly access localized content.
