To accommodate the Spring Festival travel rush, Shenzhen Metro and MTR Shenzhen will extend train service across the network under a “11+8+7” plan, ensuring smoother journeys during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
What is the '11+8+7' plan?
This flexible “11+8+7” plan breaks into three key periods:

Key service highlights
Peak travel periods (Feb. 8-9, Feb. 11-14 & Feb. 21-25)

During these peak days, most Shenzhen Metro lines will operate with extended service hours:
Most lines will operate 1-1.5 hours longer
Full-route last trains depart around 12 a.m. (midnight)
Line 4 runs until 12:30 a.m.
Half-route trains follow 30-60 minutes after full-route departures
Major station final departures:
Shenzhen North Station (Lines 4/5/6): Not earlier than 1 a.m.
Airport Station (Line 11): Not earlier than 1 a.m.
Luohu (Line 1): 12:55 a.m.
Futian Checkpoint (Lines 4/10): 12:30 a.m.
Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint (Line 13): 12. a.m. (midnight)
Special peak (Feb. 21-23):
From Feb. 21 to 23, a special service boost will be in effect: Lines 4, 5, and 6 will operate additional late-night trains. On these days, the last trains from Shenzhen North Station may depart as late as 2:15 a.m.

Regular holiday period (Feb. 10, Feb. 15-20)
On these mid-holiday dates, only Line 4 will receive a service extension, with trains running 30 minutes later than normal. This adjustment ensures that key interchange points — such as Shenzhen North Station and Futian Checkpoint — will continue to offer service until at least midnight.

Post-holiday return rush (Feb. 26-March 5)
As return travel intensifies after the Spring Festival break, several major lines will maintain extended operating hours.
Lines connected to train stations, airport, and border checkpoints will continue extended service:
Lines 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 (including Line 6 branch), 11, 13, 14
Most full-route last trains at 12 a.m.
Line 4: extended to 12:30 a.m.
Shenzhen North Railway Station & Airport: not earlier than 1 a.m.
