Qianhai New Year celebrations ignite festive spirit

A vibrant New Year event themed “2026 马上翻身” (Mǎshàng Fānshēn, meaning “turn the tables immediately”) kicked off at Qianhai Bay, Bao’an District, on Wednesday, heralding the upcoming Year of the Horse. The festivities were headlined by Fanshen (翻身), a band established in 2020, which lit up the stage with three original songs: "Turn the Tables," "I Just Care About You," and "Don’t Hesitate."

Highlights of the celebration included dynamic lion dances, harmonious choral singing, and expressive sign language performances, all weaving together to create an electric Spring Festival atmosphere.
