On Feb. 25, Guangming District authorities signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Bambu Lab to develop a 3D printing intelligent manufacturing headquarters base, marking another new step in the district’s push toward advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven growth.
Bambu Lab, a leading Shenzhen-based technology firm focused on the research and production of desktop 3D printers, has already begun operations at the Minghu Zhigu Industrial Park. Under the agreement, Bambu Lab plans to build an integrated production and research hub and explore the construction of an automated manufacturing facility for 3D printers.
The project is expected to reach an annual production capacity of more than 3 million units and could become one of the world’s largest 3D printing manufacturing centers, contributing to the development of Shenzhen as a globally influential technology and innovation hub.
Company representatives said the district’s business environment, strong industrial supply chains in sensors and automation, and its growing innovation ecosystem were key factors behind the investment decision.
District officials said the project will help elevate regional industrial capacity and accelerate Guangming’s transition from a traditional manufacturing base to a high-end intelligent manufacturing center.
