Tucked away in a building in Shuibei — Luohu District’s hub for gold and jewelry manufacturing — this public museum is China’s first dedicated to jewelry.

Founded by poet and author Liu Meisong, the Zizai Typography Museum houses 125 sets of wooden movable type, along with types made of clay, bronze, tin, lead, and even porcelain.

The Century Amber Museum, centered around the theme of “Awakening Amber Memories, Appreciating Magical Treasures,” is divided into six main sections, allowing visitors to explore the formation, origins, history, culture, and art of amber and providing visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the gemstone.

Located on Jin'an Road in Gongming Subdistrict, the Ebohr Horology Culture Museum is Shenzhen’s first museum dedicated to timepieces and the culture of time. Situated within the iconic Ebohr Building, it houses a remarkable collection that spans 1,440 square meters, featuring 8,384 items (sets), with over 300 on permanent display.
