In today’s ever-changing society, tactics and trends are always shifting but the one thing that remains unchanged is the human capacity for feeling and emotion, Sean Davis, CEO of ITTIZ, believes.

“When it comes to social media, we focus heavily on the content generation aspect. At the end of the day, the content should provide customers with either an experience or some sort of emotional response,” he said.

Davis is a 26-year-old American who came to Shenzhen in 2013. His current Shenzhen-based company ITTIZ provides customers with social media marketing, content development, design and video production services and is about 2 years old now.

Davis is mainly in charge of project management, strategy, sales and the overall direction of the business. In his eyes, his team is a group of people coming from different industries with different experiences, who are passionate about technology, creativity, design and the future. “We try and keep our main focus on innovating our products, marketing and overall business operation, and we feel that we can grow much faster if we innovate ourselves constantly,” Davis said.

According to Davis, ITTIZ tries to solve the problems that the client company is having with its overall positioning, branding and design, never selling pre-made products. He credits the company’s growth and long-lasting relationship with clients to the fact that the team analyzes entire business models and conducts thorough research into the client companies before moving forward with any project.

“We always start fresh with clients to see exactly what issues they have and create a plan that helps them solve the issues. For example, if a client has a really bad website and wants to do social media, we would first fix the website to make sure that traffic is converting in the most optimum way. Basically, we will become the marketing department of the client company,” he explained.

Davis has a lot of respect and admiration for Shenzhen. He said, “The growth in Shenzhen has been unprecedented. It’s becoming more international, diverse and even more competitive day by day. I feel an energy in Shenzhen which I have not felt in other cities.”
