Known as the “Oriental Amazon,” Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia. The Sarawak Tourism Board held the Malaysian (Sarawak) Tourism Sharing Conference and Business Banquet on Thursday, aiming to attract more visitors to Sarawak.

According to Datuk Lee Kim Shin, assistant minister of Sarawak Tourism, Art and Culture, Sarawak is rich in natural resources, flora and fauna and is especially known for the exotic grasses found only there. Forty-five different languages and dialects are spoken by the twenty-seven different ethnic groups there and each group lays claim to its own unique stories, traditions and beliefs.

A direct flight from Shenzhen to Kuching was opened in 2017, making it easier to travel to Malaysia. Additionally, there are 268 flights a week that fly to Malaysia from 15 cities in South China.
