Thrilling glass skywalk, cliff swing in Qingyuan

A video about a cliff swing in Chongqing went viral recently on Douyin, a social media app for creating and sharing videos as well as live broadcasting. For those who have always planned to try the cliff swing but still haven’t had time to travel all the way to Chongqing, here comes some good news.

The first suspended glass skywalk project, nicknamed “Tianzi Flying Dragon,” opened in Qingyuan, Guangdong, on Nov. 2. Additionally, various challenging projects, including a cliff swing with a view of a waterfall, also await.

The “Tianzi Flying Dragon” is a new project at the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area. It’s built on top of Juebi Peak above Tianhou Waterfall and boasts an altitude of 399 meters.

The skywalk is 1.8 meters wide and 399 meters long. It utilizes three layers of durable and ultra clear glass, making the walk super safe while guaranteeing a thrilling view. While walking down the corridor, flanked by the lush forest on both sides, your heartbeat can’t help but accelerate.

Upon exiting the dragon body, you will find yourself on the largest glass cliff observation deck in Guangdong with a view of a waterfall and old-growth forest. Sometimes the observation deck, which covers 600 square meters, serves as a romantic site where courtship is highly successful.

If you like the feeling of flying and want to scream out in the sky, you should definitely try out the cliff waterfall swing. When you sit on the swing, the electromagnetic control will pull you up into the air and then swing you out from the cliff at a 170-degree angle.

Forest Rainbow Slide

If you want to go downhill in the fastest way, use the Forest Rainbow Slide to slide down the hill. There are three slides in total, and two of them feature a mountain view. There are eight acceleration curves and it takes only nine minutes to reach the foot of the mountain.

You may feel scared and back off when you hear the screaming in the forest. But, it’s totally worth a try.

Tianhou Waterfall

The Tianhou Waterfall is already quite well-known. The spectacular fall drops 128 meters. The clear water flows like a soft white ribbon against the green background of the lush forest. Tianzi Mountain is home to a lush bamboo sea. Walk into the bamboo forest and you will feel like you’re entering a scene from the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” Surrounded by the green bamboo, the gurgling brook and fresh air, you will feel relaxed and tranquil.

Seven-Color Garden

This garden features different varieties of blooming flowers. With a lake view, flower sea, green mountain and other delights of nature, you will feel like you walk into a wonderland.

Guesthouse in the forest

After spending a full day experiencing all of these fun things, you can stay at the guesthouse on the mountain. The two guesthouses, namely Xingkong Guesthouse and Yueguang Baohe Guesthouse, are both good choices.
