EVERY weekend since May, a series of performances have been greeting visitors in Chaoxi Square of Shenzhen Talent Park. Presented by a variety of international artists, the show is part of the 2019 Nanshan International Weekend Concert. The weekly concerts involve nearly 200 performances, such as folk dancing, classic dancing, songs of various styles, instrumental performances, displays of nontangible cultural heritages, interactive magic shows and acrobatics. Each week’s 90-minute show presents a unique program, in which artists from the 12 countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese artists from ethnic minorities and preservers of national intangible cultural heritages hit the stage.
The 10th concert, which was held July 6, ended with the song “I Love You, China.” The popular song attracted hundreds of spectators, who were waving national flags and enthusiastically chanting in unison.
