The First International Internet Advertisement Summit will be held in Futian District next April, according to an announcement by Srinivasan Swamy, chairman and world president of International Advertising Association (IAA).

At the opening ceremony of the 26th China International Advertising Festival in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, on Saturday, Swamy said the summit will be hosted jointly by IAA and China Advertising Association (CAA).

It will be organized by Shenzhen Press Group and Tencent.

According to Zhang Guohua, chairman of CAA, revenue from Internet advertisement now takes up 50-60 percent of the world’s total advertisement revenue and has become a pillar of Internet giants.

The summit will attract more than 1,000 professionals from Internet advertising companies, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Tencent, Huawei, Alibaba and Baidu, to share ideas at the main forums and parallel forums on the trends of Internet advertising, latest technologies and business models, industrial norms and AI marketing. Road shows and new tech-launching events will also be held. Enterprises will be organized to take trips to local Internet companies. IAA and CAA will jointly announce Shenzhen Declaration, a document guiding the development of the global advertising industry.

China International Advertising Festival is the most professional and influential national event in China’s advertising industry. Consisting of professional competitions, media and equipment exhibitions, business communication and summits, it not only accelerates the development of China’s advertising industry, but also promotes the communication and cooperation between domestic and international advertising industries.
