Bao'an sees construction of Snow Beer town

China Resources Snow Breweries Co. Ltd. will invest 10 billion yuan (US$1.55 billion) to build its Snow Beer Headquarters Base in Bao’an District, a launch ceremony for the construction of new projects in Bao’an announced Wednesday.

The project will include a headquarters building, a State-level research center, a refined brewery plant with a capacity of 10 million liters of beer and a beer culture town.

Snow Beer takes up more than 20 percent of the Chinese market and is the second Chinese beer brand, following Tsingtao Beer that has had a plant in Bao’an.

At the launch ceremony, Song Zhanmin, manager of the Guangdong Region of China Resources Snow Breweries, said that the Snow Beer headquarters project is a key project of China Resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the production of the project will bring over 10 billion yuan in industrial volume to Bao’an District.

The headquarters base in Xin’an Subdistrict will be the operations and management headquarters of China Resources Snow Breweries.

Snow Beer’s beer culture town includes a south-north 300-meter block with beer squares linking up with the Metro, an experience area for different beer flavors, a beer history museum, waterside beer parks and beer brewing corridors for visitors to learn about the beer production process. The open-air seating, small-scale streets and small-town-like architecture will create an immersive touring and enjoyable experience for visitors and beer lovers.

Also, at the ceremony, Bao’an District kicked off a total of 23 projects for construction in the third quarter of this year. The projects, with a total investment of 38 billion yuan, include 14 government-funded projects and nine social investment projects, whose investments accumulatively reached 34.5 billion yuan. The investments of four major industrial projects like Snow Beer Headquarters Base, SF Intelligent Logistics Science Industrial Base will reach 16.6 billion yuan.
