Cancer center's southern branch settles in Shenzhen

The National Cancer Center Southern Branch was inaugurated at a ceremony in Shenzhen on Saturday, marking a significant step forward in the National Cancer Center’s efforts to help Shenzhen strengthen its cancer prevention and control foundation and improve people’s health.

The center will play a leading role in South China in promoting cancer prevention and control technology and health science popularization, developing a cancer registration and resources platform, exploring cancer prevention and control service modes, and increasing regional comprehensive cancer prevention and control service capacity.

Meanwhile, the southern branch will continue to promote the coverage of cancer early diagnosis and treatment projects in cities with the help of the Shenzhen Center of Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the National Cancer Center.

Hosted by the National Cancer Center and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the 2021 Cancer Early Diagnosis and Treatment and Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Conference & the 9th Annual Meeting of National Cancer Center was held in Shenzhen on Saturday.

The annual meeting brought together leading experts in the field, with the aim to promote the progress of cancer-related disciplines and strengthen the exchange and cooperation of cancer prevention and control information.
