Application for Shenzhen government reward to service trade firms has been opened from Tuesday, with a one-off reward as high as 3 million yuan (US$444,100) per enterprise, according to the city’s commerce bureau.
The supporting program covers six fields, such as digital trade, and exports of high-end professional services and financial services.
To promote the development of digital trade, the program will help service trade enterprises expand digital service exports via supporting their cross-border data transmission, digital products and digital services. A reward of 1 million yuan will be given to eligible exporters of digital services.
High value-added service outsourcing businesses, such as information technology outsourcing (ITO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), will be encouraged and eligible companies will be rewarded 1 million yuan.
The project will incubate and increase market entities engaging in the export of high-end and professional services, support the high-end and international development of professional services such as accounting, legislation and testing, as well as scale up cross-border professional services. The reward for these eligible firms is 1 million yuan.
As per the program, it will facilitate innovative development of cross-border financial services. Eligible world-class and competitive financial enterprises of trade in services in the financial insurance area will receive a 2-million-yuan reward.
The project will encourage the establishment of national service export bases in fields, including service outsourcing, cultural and creative industry, business services, biomedicine, food nutrition and tourism, with a maximum one-off reward of 3 million yuan per base.
The deadline for online applications is Aug. 2, and for material submissions is Aug. 9.
