Shenzhen Global Fashion Culture Festival was launched at the UpperHills shopping mall in Futian District on Tuesday night, kicking off a series of consumption promotion activities lasting for three days.

The activities, held both online and offline, include runway shows, brand story sharing sessions, 24-hour liverstreams, fashion brand pop-up stores and exhibitions.

Brands from the garment, clocks and watches, jewelry and eyewear industries will stage an array of activities to extend the popularity of Shenzhen Fashion Week and help Shenzhen fashion brands secure a spot during the annual “Double 11” shopping carnival.

Shenzhen is a city known for its womenswear in China, with six local brands among the country’s top 10 womenswear brands. The festival has specifically set up a fashion exhibition area to display the charm of local fashion brands.

A technology and fashion exhibition area has also been set up to boost the consumption of consumer electronics. In addition, the festival will introduce subsidies for purchases of home appliances and digital products, as well as a lottery for car purchases.
