With the 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) in full swing on New Year’s Day, six exhibitors joined the “I Help Exhibitors Find Market” press release hall built by Shenzhen News Group (SNG), looking for broader business opportunities.

“With media coverage, we’ve ushered in a good start to 2023!” said Zhang Qiang, marketing director of PENDU Technology, an exhibitor at the ICIF, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.

According to Zhang, through media reports and product displays, some interested customers had reached out to the company for consultation. “Media coverage is very important. We can discover and contact more potential customers, which is one of the purposes we participated in the fair,” Zhang said.

“Watching livestreams is one of the favorite ways young people get information nowadays. Through livestreaming, we can reach more people, which is what we would love to see,” said He Yawen, head of public aesthetic education at Deji Art Museum.

At SNG’s press release hall, He introduced and demonstrated Deji Art Museum and its rich and diversified research and exhibition system. The museum, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is committed to becoming a comprehensive art institution and cultural platform presenting arts across cultures and eras.

The art museum has presented a digital art exhibition called “An Era in Jinling” based on the classic painting “Jinling Tu” (Picture of Jinling, Nanjing’s historic name) from the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

She said the ICIF brought together many high-quality cultural enterprises, which was a good opportunity for learning and exchanges. “The organizers are also very considerate and have taken multiple measures to help exhibitors.”

Liao Heyang, product development manager of a cultural tourism company from Sichuan Province, also said they had reaped fruitful results at this year’s ICIF.

“We have talked with more than 10 design and IP (intellectual property) operation companies and reached preliminary cooperation intentions,” Liao said. The company Liao works for is the exclusive agent for the cultural industry operation of Sanxingdui Museum in the city of Guanghan in Sichuan Province.
