The Marriage Law expressly “prohibits bigamy”. The so-called bigamy refers to the act of those who have a spouse and get married again, or who marry someone whom they know has a spouse.
When Chinese citizens and foreigners decide to get married of their own free will within the boundaries of China, both the man and the woman concerned shall appear together at the marriage registration office
