The European Chamber South China Chapter is going to hold a factory tour at the Siemens Shenzhen Magnetic Resonance Ltd. on 15 June, 2017.

Since its introduction in the early 1980s, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) has rapidly become one of the leading diagnostic imaging modalities in healthcare. Siemens Healthineers is one of the very few manufacturers worldwide that has all the necessary technological core competences.

磁共振成像 (MRI) 系统自20世纪80年代初期诞生以来，迅速成长为医疗行业最先进的影像诊断设备之一。西门子医疗是世界上少数具备全部MRI核心技术实力的制造商之一。

As Siemens’ biggest research and manufacturing center outside Siemens Healthineers MR Headquarters in Germany, SSMR has full capacity for developing and manufacturing entire MRI systems and key components. In the meantime, SSMR is the biggest MR research and manufacturing base that establishes and leads the development of the whole MR industry in China. General Manager of the SSMR Dr. Pan once pointed out that the MR industry has great potential and vast development prospects with the increase of the aging population and non-communicable disease. He also mentioned that it is very important for SSMR to promote its diagnosis and treatment effect while reduce its medical cost.

西门子（深圳）磁共振有限公司（SSMR）是在德国西门子医疗MR总部之外全球最大的且是惟一的磁共振整机及主要部件研发和生产基地，也是中国最大的磁共振研发及生产基地之一，它建立并带动了整个中国磁共振产业链的发展。总经理潘怀宇博士曾指出，随着老龄化人口的增长以及非传染性慢性疾病的增加，国内的磁共振行业拥有非常广阔的发展前景。对于西门子医疗来说，提升对患者的诊疗效果，同时降低医疗成本，这一点是至关重要的。

Nowadays, SSMR has delivered several thousand MRI systems to customers of more than 100 countries and regions. And the X-ray angiography machine product line, built in 2013, has provided hundreds of machines to global customers. 70% of SSMR’s products are exported to overseas users and the top five countries in which its products has been installed are Japan, India, Brazil, the U.S. and South Korea. Since 2012, one out of three MR products delivered by Siemens to global customers is from SSMR.

如今, SSMR已向全球100多个国家和地区提供了数千台品质一流的磁共振产品，SSMR产品的70%以上出口到海外，装机数量位居前五位的海外国家依次为日本，印度，巴西，美国和韩国。自2013年起，西门子向全球客户交付的MR产品中每3台就由1台出自SSMR。
