The annual coral spawning event

The annual coral spawning event is right around the corner

The annual coral spawning event is right around the corner. When the water temperature and tide are right, corals will release gametes (eggs and sperm) en masse, resembling a snow flurry in the ocean. This is one of nature’s most spectacular marine events — coral spawning. Most coral spawning events only take place once a year. It’d be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most people to see it in person. DUTE NEWS APP will work with Blue Fins to monitor this year’s wild coral spawning in Shenzhen via 72-hour underwater live-streaming for the first time at 7:30 p.m. May 24 (Wednesday). Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences are invited to engage in live Q&A sessions. Join us for a celebration of the annual coral spawning event at https://vliveplay.szpgm.com/20_norecord_cdn/502293.m3u8.
