A bustling job fair in Pingshan District on Nov. 5 saw participation from 20 companies, including electric vehicle giant BYD, offering almost 1,000 job vacancies.

Pingshan District, in partnership with Shenzhen University's School of Sports, has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative utilizing motion capture technology to preserve and promote the legacy of the Pingshan kylin dance, an esteemed intangible cultural heritage.

On Oct. 29, Pingshan-based Laplace Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of Shanghai Stock Exchange. On the same day, Shenzhen S.C New Energy Technology Corporation and Woer Heat-shrinkable Material, also based in Pingshan, were named to the 2024 Guangdong Top 100 Private Manufacturing Enterprises list.

Pingshan District is set to host over 200 activities as part of the 25th Shenzhen Reading Month, featuring an array of events such as lectures on science and technology, reading salons, and book releases, all aimed at bringing residents closer to the joy of reading in various settings.

The Pingshan Sports Settlement, a large-scale project featuring multiple sports venues in Pingshan District, received the Platinum Award in the 2024 Muse Design Awards’ architectural design — sports and recreation category.

​Representatives from international standards organizations across 20 countries and regions convened at the 2024 World Automobile Standards and Innovation Conference in Pingshan District from Oct. 22 to 24.

The finale concert of the fourth Pingshan Music Creation Camp took place in Pingshan District on Oct. 21, featuring 12 original songs crafted by 12 talented young musicians over the course of five days.

The Shenzhen Pingshan Shijing Area Urban Design recently received a gold award in the Architectural Design — Urban Design category of the MUSE Design Awards.
