Food and wine fair draws crowds
The 2024 Cork & Fork Shenzhen International Food & Wine Festa was held Thursday to Sunday in downtown Futian District. Organized by the Guangdong Imported Food Association and supported by the Shenzhen Commerce Bureau, the four-day event attracted large crowds in the southern outdoor area of One Avenue. Offering food, wine, and live entertainment, the fair featured 70 booths showcasing snacks, wines, and drinks from around the world. Intl. Volunteer Day: The pulse of volunteerism in SZ
Known as a city of volunteers, Shenzhen launched its first volunteer organization in 1989. It is now home to over 4 million registered volunteers, representing more than 22% of its permanent population. Within this group, 78.3% of the volunteers are under 45 years old, and there are nearly 17,000 volunteers from overseas.

In honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Longhua Sports and Cultural Center hosted a vibrant and inspiring wheelchair triathlon challenge Dec. 3. More than 100 athletes with disabilities, representing 40 teams from across the country, competed in three exciting events: the Wheelchair Relay Race, the Paralympic Challenge, and the Wheelchair Obstacle Course.
