Volunteers wanted during Spring Festival

The Year of the Rooster is just around the corner, so it means visitors swarming into parks and temples during their free time.

As some of the most visited spots, The Fairy Lake Botanical Park and Hongfa Temple saw a total of 350,000 visitors last year.

To ensure the safety of residents, prevent tragedies and keep smooth entry and exit of vehicles and visitors, the volunteers association of Luohu District has decided to recruit volunteers for Liantang area and Huangbei area where these spots are located. The requirements are as follows:

 

Liantang Area

 

What you need to do:

Communicate with visitors and persuade those without tickets to go back to the controlled areas, and provide guidance at main intersections.

Requirements for volunteers:

l Total Number: 80

l Volunteers should be aged 18 to 50 and in good health.

l Volunteers will work in shifts and the working time is flexible if you want more shifts.

l Volunteers must accept orders as to your posts and responsibilities.

Working spots:

The intersection of Pengxing Road and Lianshi Road and of Guowei Road and Xianhu Road. The front gateway of Aoxia Village, the entrance to Aoxia Village at North Jubao Road. The entrance to Panshan Road.

Working time:

l Nine hours, from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m., Jan. 27, 40 volunteers needed.

l Nine hours, from 12 a.m. to 9 a.m., Jan. 28, 40 volunteers needed.

l Nine hours, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jan. 28, 40 volunteers needed.

l Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, and Feb. 11. Each day there will be two shifts and each shift is five hours, namely, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each shift needs 20 volunteers.

l Each shift will have a head who will be responsible for the arrangement of the volunteers.

Other requirements:

l The working time of the volunteers should be logged by the street volunteers association who is also in charge of the transportation allowances.

l Volunteers will be offered uniforms, meals and water while on duty.

l Questions regarding to volunteering issue are welcomed.

Huangbei Area

 

Working time:

8 p.m., Jan. 27 to 2 a.m., Jan. 28;

8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jan. 28 to Feb. 2.

Working spots:

l Shuttle bus stops at Yijing Road

l The metro exits of Fengjingtai Station, Yijing Road

l Shuttle bus stops at Wenhua Road

l The metro exits around Wenhua Park

What you need to do:

Assist in keeping order around the bus stops and guide tourists to the buses.

Requirements:

l Volunteers should keep safety in mind and always take good care of their belongings. Report to the head of volunteers in the event of an emergency.

l Volunteers should be polite in language, dress appropriately and wear closed-toe shoes.

l Volunteers should be aged 18 to 50 and in good health.

l Each day there will be two shifts and each shift is five hours. On the Chinese New Year Eve, the shift is six hours.

l Volunteers can freely choose their shifts when registering; If not, they should take orders from the head.

Other requirements:

l Volunteers will be offered uniforms, meals, water and transportation allowances while on duty.
