The name “SUPERMONKEY” derives from one of Tiao Tiao, Founder of the fitness's  favorite movies “King Kong,” in which the leading character is a strong yet gentle chimpanzee. She coined the name “SUPERMONKEY” also because our ancestors are monkeys, so she hopes we can become stronger and healthier through sports and exercise so that one day we are all super monkeys.

Tiao Tiao used to be an architect and a marathon enthusiast who often would hit the gym, but she found that nearly every gym required annual fees, which seemed unreasonable to her. So in response she came up with the idea of opening a 24/7 self-service gym by herself.

Currently SUPERMONKEY has five gymboxes in Shenzhen and each has treadmills, elliptical machines, Marpo rope pulling machines and rowing machines.

The reason why it doesn’t provide showers is two-fold. First, they want to cut costs so they can cut charges for our clients. Second, cleaning up the showers would be troublesome and cost manpower.

Besides gymboxes, SUPERMONKEY also has 1 harmony studio, 1 Pilates studio, 1 cycling studio, 1 gogokids studio, 1 CrossFit gym and 7 training studios, offering clients a 60-200-sqm² space with more than 40 fitness courses, including yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, Trx, kids fitness, cycling, boxing and more.

For people with different objectives, the fee for each course ranges from 45 to 300 yuan per course. Each course lasts for one hour or so along with the guidance of professional trainers with national or international accredited certificates.
