Diners return again and again to the posh restaurant, which is located in Anhui Building in the Chegongmiao area, as word of mouth spreads the restaurant's reputation, bringing in even more customers.

The secret behind this is its authentic Italian cuisine prepared and served by three Italians at reasonable prices.

On entering the restaurant, diners are immediately greeted by Giulio Cinisi, restaurant manager and one of the three Italian owners, like an old friend waiting at a neighborhood restaurant.

With white table cloths, red chairs and black outfits worn by the serving staff, Cinisi, also the designer of the eatery, explains that world's best restaurants never use more than three colors in their dec.

Even the paintings on the wall conform to the rule. They are all of Milan at night, painted by a Chinese-Italian artist.

The menu offers a multitude of taste choices with emphasis on Southern Italian food prepared by Italian chef, Benedetto Stella, who follows his grandmother's recipes.

The most popular appetizer is Antipasto Mare e Monti, or grilled vegetables with seafood at 65 yuan (US$9.37). With thin slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini, marinated bell peppers and squid and cockles, the dish tantalizes the palate.

Caprese di Bufala, buffalo mozzarella with sliced fresh tomatoes and basil (85 yuan) is a feast for the tastebuds.

Extensive selection of authentic Italian pizza prepared by Enzo Lamacchia, the best "Pizzaiolo (pizza maker)" in Shenzhen, will surely have you coming back.

Home-made pastas in original flavors add to the exotic culinary experience. Cannelloni all'Italiano, or baked pasta rolls filled with beef, mozzarella cheese and ham in meat sauce (80 yuan), is cooked to perfection with mouthwatering flavor.

An item that should not be missed is Tiramisu. It's said to be the best in the city and many diners order more than one at a time.

A cozy place for an exotic dinner with your loved one, or a casual family reunion, or even a corporate meeting, Milano offers the finest Italian dining experience at affordable prices, with a single dinner costing around 150 yuan.

With more than 80 percent of the ingredients flown in from Italy, the Italian chefs use the freshest available ingredients to create authentic Italian flavors and bring the real taste of Italy to Shenzhen palates.
