Golf tournament in Longgang| Until April 23

The 2017 Shenzhen International will be held at Genzon Golf Club in Longgang District on April 20-23, during which 156 players from France, China, Thailand and the United States will compete for the championship. The prize is US$2.8 million.

 

Highlighted golfers include Bubba Watson, Thorbjorn Olesen and Li Haotong. During the Shenzhen event, an interactive zone will provide visitors with wonderful family activities, such as games designed for a wide range of ages and delicious snacks and ice-cold beverages. As well, prizes will be available for the visitors who get the highest scores. Meanwhile, visitors will have a chance to enjoy golf played by international professionals.

 

Bubba Watson

 

Watson is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. One of the few left-handed golfers on tour, he is a multiple major champion, having won the Masters Tournament in 2012 and 2014. In February 2015, Watson reached a career-high second place in the Official World Golf Ranking. Watson is among the longest drivers on the PGA Tour; in 2007, he had an average drive of 288.2m and can hit a ball over 320m, capable of generating ball speeds.

 

Thorbjorn Olesen

 

Olesen is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He finished in fourth place on the third-tier Nordic League rankings in 2009, having won three tournaments. He graduated to Europe’s second-tier Challenge Tour for the 2010 season. He finished third in the 2010 Challenge Tour rankings, earning him full exemption for the 2011 European Tour. In December 2010, Olesen tied for second place at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, the first tournament of the 2011 European Tour season.

 

Li Haotong

 

Li is a Chinese professional golfer who played his early pro career on the OneAsia Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. He also competed in a few European Tour events. Li qualified for the new PGA Tour China in 2014, where he won three times, led the tour’s Order of Merit to earn full Web.com Tour status and was the first Chinese member of the Web.com Tour. He finished 11th in his first Web.com Tour event, the Panama Claro Championship. He went on to maintain his 2016 Web.com Tour card by finishing 49th on the earnings list. On May 1, 2016, he captured his first European Tour victory by winning the Volvo China Open.
