7-Eleven, one of Apple’s retail partners, will fully accept Apple Pay payments across Shenzhen and Guangzhou. To celebrate, the convenience store chain will launch two types of discounts to incentivize its customers. The ongoing round of sales will last till Dec. 31.
1. Spend at least 100 yuan and you will get a refund of 15 yuan. Only Bank of China credit and debit cards will be accepted. However, this deal is available only once per customer. This deal lasts for the first 200,000 credit card users and 200,000 debit card users.
2. 15,000 points are offered for your first time use Apple Pay, no matter how much you pay. Only Bank of China credit cards work for this deal. This deal is available for the first 260,000 customers.
Before you use Apple Pay, you should get:
An iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, the iPad mini 3 or iPad Pro. An Apple Watch connected to an iPhone is also acceptable.
How to bind your card with Apple Pay? (take the cards from BOC as an example)
First, open your Wallet app to add your credit or debit card and then you can either enter your card number or let the camera identify it.
Second, enter your validity dates and security code.
Third, type in your verification code from your iPhone.
After the above-mentioned steps, your Apple Pay should be activated.
To pay, just hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID. Or you can double-click the Home button when your iPhone is locked to access Wallet and quickly make your purchases. Your card number is never stored on your device, and when you pay your debit or credit card numbers are never sent to merchants. Apple Pay assigns a unique number for each purchase, so your payments stay private and secure.
