Chris Garneau, born in Boston, is an American singer-songwriter and musician.
Garneau discovered a love of music at the age of 6 while learning to play piano. Since high school, he has been obsessed with musicals.
Later, Garneau worked for “Spring Awakening,” a rock musical whose original Broadway production garnered eight Tony Awards. Garneau eventually signed with Absolutely Kosher Records, an Emeryville, California-based record label.
Garneau’s sound combines elements of folk, Americana, pop and Baroque. Since releasing his debut album, “Music for Tourists,” Garneau has toured throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe, and Asia and has toured in China many times since 2009.
His fans range from teenage girls to yuppies.
