The Frankfurt Book Fair is expected to exhibit special books during the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) in the ICIF’s International Cultural Trade Hall (Hall 10) at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao’an District later this month.

According to the ICIF organizers, this will be the first time that the world-famous German book fair has participated in the event.

As the world’s largest trade fair for books, the Frankfurt Book Fair has been organized by Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH since 1949 and is held in Frankfurt every October.

The participation of the Frankfurt Book Fair reflects the ICIF’s ongoing efforts to internationalize itself, establish a global cultural industry exchange and cooperation platform, and actively promote foreign cultural exchange and trade cooperation, according to the ICIF organizers.

In addition, international institutions such as the Union of Russian Artists, Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux, the Cuban Book Institute, the South Korean Institute of Traditional Cultural Industries, the Federation Nepalese Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and Global Sources, an international multi-channel B2B marketplace and sourcing platform, will also participate in this year’s ICIF.

The 20th ICIF will set up eight in-person exhibition halls. These include the Cultural Industries Hall A (Hall 9), International Cultural Trade Hall (Hall 10), Cultural Industries Hall B (Hall 11), Intangible Cultural Heritage·Arts and Crafts Hall (Hall 12), Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hall (Hall 13), Film and Television·Publishing·Copyright·E-sports Hall (Hall 14), Cultural Tourism and Consumption Hall (Hall 15), and Art·Design·China Chic Hall (Hall 16).

Each exhibition hall will launch exhibits and key activities in different forms and styles according to a variety of themes.

Early-bird tickets for the ICIF have been on sale since the May Day holiday and will be available until May 14, according to the organizers.

This year, the ICIF will be held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center from May 23 to 27.
