The China-Africa Private Sector Cooperation Forum 2024 was held in Shenzhen on Sept. 7, attracting more than 250 guests from both domestic and international backgrounds to discuss potential cooperation between China and Africa. Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo attended and delivered a speech.

On Sept. 5, about 30 international students who recently enrolled at Shenzhen University for their undergraduate and postgraduate studies participated in a tour of Shekou. The event was jointly organized by Nanshan International Cultural Exchange & Service Center and College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University.

The Shekou Cultural and Sports Park in Nanshan District was officially opened to the public after six years of construction.

An orientation session designed to assist recently arrived expats in Shenzhen with adjusting to local life was held in Shekou on Saturday. The event, hosted by the Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (MSCE), featured guest speakers, including an immigration police officer, a notary, a doctor, a bank manager, a lawyer, and a social worker.

Zimbabwe's president Emmerson Mnangagwa led a delegation to visit Shenzhen from Aug. 29 to 31. On the morning of Aug. 30, Mnangagwa and his delegation paid a visit to BYD’s headquarters in Pingshan District.
