Brazilian donates blood 13 times this year
Heráclito Everson Biscaia Filho from Brazil made his 13th blood donation at Nanshan Blood Donation Station on Friday. After Shenzhen Daily reported his 34th donation at the end of last year, the frequent donor did it again 13 times in 2022. He has been giving blood in Shenzhen since 2013.

16,000 run marathon despite frigid temps
A total of 16,000 runners showed up at the 2022 Nanshan Half Marathon, which was started by Huang Xiangyue, head of Nanshan District, and Lin Dan, a great badminton player christened “Super Dan” who is the ambassador of Nanshan’s public fitness promotion, at 8 a.m. at the east gate of Shenzhen Talent Park. The 21.0975-kilometer seaside route started from the park and ended at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.
