Concert livens up summer night

Students of the Chinese University of Hong Kong's music school, along with their professors, staged a chamber concert in the concert hall of Longgang Cultural Center on Sunday night. A feast for the ears, the concert highlighted established musicians and music professors including Ye Xiaogang, dean of the music school, and Yuan Fang, one of China’s leading pianists and a professor of the music school.

Gaokao concludes, results to come out soon

Shenzhen Party chief Meng Fanli and Mayor Qin Weizhong made an inspection tour Monday to the Central Campus of Shenzhen Senior High School in Futian District and Futian Foreign Languages High School on preparations for gaokao, requiring all efforts to be made to ensure safety, order and discipline at exam sites across the city. Some 51,200 students are taking the exam this year in Shenzhen. The national figure is 11.93 million, a new high, according to a Xinhua report.
