The third Glow Shenzhen, a grand light festival featuring 217 works of light art created by artists around the world, was officially launched last night.
Shenzhen, along with some 20 cities around the world, was included in CitiesWithNature initiative. The result was announced at the seventh Summit for Subnational Govenments & Cities, a parallel event to the second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the U.N. Convention on Biological Diversity, on Monday local time in Montreal, Canada.
Local artists presented popular songs and dances at a performanceat the studio of Shenzhen Media Group yesterday evening. The event was held to showcase the strength and unique styles of the art workers in Shenzhen, and to echo the people’s new expectations for culture and art, and their yearning for a better life.
The 1st Shenzhen Craftsman Promotion was held at the Civic Center in Futian District yesterday. A total of 21 craftsmen in 18 professions displayed their skills at the event, part of Shenzhen Artisan Week launched Saturday. The city now boasts over 4 million skilled people, 1.43 million of whom are highly skilled.
