30 years on, SZ's blood donation drive picks up pace
Thirty years ago, on May 8, 1993, the Red Cross Society of China Shenzhen Branch and the Shenzhen Blood Center went out onto the streets for the first time to promote blood donation, taking the lead in the country to do so. Expo showcases seafood from around the world
The Shenzhen International Fisheries and Seafood Expo 2023 opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District on Thursday. Nearly 20,000 ocean life forms have been released at the event, which aims to raise the public awareness of protecting ocean biodiversity. About 300 exhibitors and over 30,000 participants from more than 20 countries and regions are displaying over 10,000 types of aquatic products and intelligent marine technologies at the three-day expo.

SIGEP China (Southern China’s International Expo Dedicated to the Production of Gelato, Bakery and Coffee) opened at Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District yesterday. The fair, which runs until tomorrow, covers an exhibition area of over 4,000 square meters and gathers over 100 food and drink exhibitors and 5,000 buyers from home and abroad.

The 2023 Hot Blood Run, a running event, was launched at Shenzhen Blood Center in Futian District yesterday, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Shenzhen’s voluntary blood donation drive.
